Pioneering live theatre

Created together with the team from the Wardrobe Ensemble theatre company, myself, a fellow student and the lecturers from the iDAT department, this project aimed to explore how physical and digital theatre can be combined.

The actors were photoscanned, attached to a mesh and re-rigged inside virtually built environments meant to echo the physical set. Once the camera, lighting and scene was animated, the scenes were rendered before being played back behind the actors whilst the play was perfected. This take on live theatre was really interesting and something I'd really like to continue in the future.
